Bee Soap Home

Welcome to Bee Soap! Here you will find all my soaps and other handmade cosmetics to give yourself, or someone else, a treat. From simple designs and essential oils, to more showy bars and fragrance oils all our soaps are made in small batches, which gives more control over quality – although that does mean that the designs may vary from batch to batch. However you can be assured that each bar, or tin or jar will have been made to the highest standards, and to recipes certified by UK chemists to the cosmetics standards. I am also a member of the Guild of Craft Soap and Toiletry Makers

My products contain beeswax from our own honeybees, and some also contain a little honey – giving a little local Leicestershire provenance to them. Both wax and honey are minimally processed to retain their goodness.

Beeswax is a fantastic product, creating a skin benefitting protective barrier, with antibacterial properties and yet does not block the skin’s pores.

Our packaging is recyclable and home compostable, even the sticky dot that holds the label in place. The clear wrapping around the soap is not plastic, although it certainly looks that way – it is a plant based material called cellulose, it does mean that should your wrapped soap get wet, the packaging may not have such a waterproof quality as actual plastic, but is otherwise a very good alternative.

It is home compostable – not just in industrial facilities. Do you know how I know that for a fact (other that believing the supplier of course) is that I actually tested it out on my own compost heap!

Being plastic free and responsible towards the environment is something that is important to us.
